Introduction
Speakout Society is a community built to support and promote all forms of spoken art, with a special focus on poetry.
Founded in 2016, we began our journey as an online platform across various social media channels, where we mentored writers and performers in effective writing and presentation skills—irrespective of genre or language. Over time, this digital initiative evolved into vibrant offline experiences.
We have since organized open mics and workshops across multiple cities in India, including Dehradun, Bangalore, Lucknow, and Delhi. Our flagship open mic, "Baithak," has become a much-loved monthly gathering among poets in Bangalore and Delhi, where we come together to celebrate Hindi and Urdu poetry in an intimate and soulful setting.
Driven by the belief of learning and growing together, Speakout Society collaborates with experts from different art forms to conduct workshops from time to time. These sessions are designed to help participants refine their writing, enhance their performance skills, and deepen their artistic expression.

Baithak
Baithak is an open mic initiative by Speakout Society, dedicated to the celebration of Hindi and Urdu poetry. Held every month, Baithak brings together poets and poetry lovers to share, listen, and appreciate each other's creative expressions in a warm, intimate setting. For over two years, Baithak has been consistently hosted in Bangalore, earning a special place in the city's vibrant poetry community. Extending its presence beyond Bangalore, Baithak is also organized from time to time in Delhi, connecting poets across cities.
